Mike Huckabee and Math

I found this on Politico.com and it has been surfacing the internet in the last 24 hours.

I am in no way making fun of Mike Huckabee, but I just like conversation that went on with him and Tim Russert on Meet the Press.

RUSSERT: “You need 1,191 delegates; you have 231, as I mentioned. That means you need 960.”

HUCKABEE: “Mm-hmm.”

RUSSERT: “There are only 819 delegates to win. So how are you going to do that?”

HUCKABEE: “Well, you know, I don’t know how the math works out, but there’s always the chance something stumbles.”

To be fair, it could be possible that Mike Huckabee could still get more delegates that John McCain as long as John McCain does not take a majority of the 819 delegates left. It is possible that at the convention this would have to be settled. This is why Mitt Romney suspended his campaign so that he could keep all his delegates.
