The US Senate Has Been Busy

The US Senate debated a wide array of topics yesterday, Consumer-First Energy Act. The Senate Republicans forced the Senatorial Clerks to read the 500 plus page bill in order stall Democrats and provide the public some understanding on why the Senate Republicans feel this bill is phony.

In light of that our Senate was able to pass a measure that was much more important than taxes, climate change and other such things. They were able to pass a measure to declare June 20, 2008 American Eagle Day. In honor of the restoration of our national Bald Eagle. Honoring the Bald Eagle is a wonderful thing, but when our US Senate can only accomplish that in a day….wow…..I have a greater belief that our government cannot get anything.
